Sallisaw drops district matches vs. Cascia Hall; Senior Night set

By DAVID SEELEY SPORTS EDITOR

TULSA — The Sallisaw Lady Diamonds soccer team saw its historic two-match winning streak come to a screeching halt as they lost 8-0 to host Tulsa Cascia Hall on Tuesday evening.

The loss drops the Lady Diamonds to 2-8 overall and 2-5 in district play.

Unfortunately, the Black Diamonds also suffered a district road loss to the host Commandos, falling 5-1. The lone goal for the Black Diamonds (5-4, 3-3) came off the foot of Brian Castor.

The Lady Diamonds and Black Diamonds will celebrate Senior Night with home matches this evening against Tulsa Webster at Perry F. Lattimore Stadium to end the regular season. The girls’ match will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the boys’ contest at 7 p.m.
