Baseball seasons end for Sallisaw, Vian

MUSKOGEE — The high school baseball season ended for the Sallisaw Black Diamonds as they lost the winner-take-all game 8-3 to the host Hilldale Hornets on Thursday afternoon in the Class 4A Super Regional.

The Black Diamonds end the season at 23-11.

The Hornets, who will advance to next week’s Class 4A State Tournament, scored twice in the first inning, once in the second inning, three runs in the fourth inning and twice in the fifth inning for an 8-0 lead.
