Fishing Report for May 8, 2024

EUFAULA: May 3. Elevation is 3.5 feet above normal and falling. The water temperature is 65 degrees and murky. Striped bass, striped bass hybrids and white bass good on crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits and sassy shad below the dam and tailwater. Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on cut bait, live bait, shad, stinkbait and sunfish below the dam, river channel, river mouth and tailwater. Crappie good on hair jigs, jigs and minnows around brush structure, creek channels, discharge and rocks. Report submitted by Jake Rowland, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.
