Announcements of upcoming events for non-profit organizations and events in Sequoyah County may be delivered to Your TIMES in several different ways. They may be mailed to or hand delivered to Your TIMES at 111 N. Oak St. in Sallisaw. Events may be telephoned in by calling (918) 775-4433, or they may be e-mailed to news@seqcotimes.com or from a special form on Your TIMES Web site at www.sequoyahcountytimes.com.

The deadline for announcements for Wednesday’s edition is 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The deadline for announcements in Friday’s edition is 11 a.m. Thursday.

Your TIMES welcomes announcements and is pleased to publish them so that Sequoyah County residents can take advantage of the many activities occurring in the county.

FRI. MAY 10

Buffington annual Bean Supper, 5 to 7 p.m., Sequoyah County Fairgrounds, E. Redwood, Sallisaw. Menu includes brown beans, chili, fried potatoes, chicken and dumplings, coleslaw, poke salad, cornbread, homemade desserts. Adults $10, $ 6 children 5 to 10 children 4 and under free. There will be a silent auction. Everyone welcome.

Gore Schools will host a Comprehensive District Academic Plan (CDAP) and Title I School wide public meeting at 11:30 a.m. in the conference room, 1200 North Highway 10, Gore, Ok.

Box Cemetery annual clean up day. All flowers and benches need to be removed from ground so mowing may resume. All are welcome to help clean. Annual board meeting May 16, at 7 p.m.

Take-out Dinner at the Bank, 4 to 6 p.m., Marble City. Entrée $12 per plate, includes choice of meatloaf or chicken pot pie, both served with scalloped potatoes, buttered corn and roll and choice of strawberry cake or lemon drop cake. Sequoyah County Historical Society meeting, 2 p.m., at their museum, 200 E. Creek, Sallisaw. Harold Trisler will discuss the life and murder of U.S. Deputy marshal, Frank Dalton, and his book “Finding the Lost Daltons.” A reception will follow. The public is invited.

MON. MAY 20
