8 Black Diamonds honored, named to All-District 4A-6 Team
Eight Sallisaw Black Diamonds baseball team members were honored and/or named to the 2024 All-District 4A-6 Team.
Senior Brock Streun was named the district’s Player of the Year.
Six other Black Diamonds — seniors Braxton Lamb and Cole Stephens, juniors Cole Mayfield, Broque Oft and Creed Nelson and sophomore Luke Pack — were named to the all-district team.
Senior right fielder Parker Pratt was a member of the honorable mention all-district.
The Black Diamonds went 23-11 this spring season, finishing in a tie for the district lead at 10-2 but finishing second due to being swept by co-leader Inola, and made it to within a win of making the Class 4A State Tournament as they lost the winner-take-all Super Regional final against the host Hilldale Hornets.
