OGBCA All-Staters recognized
Roland’s Lilly Medicine Bird and Muldrow’s Kennedi “Kiki” Wight were teammates on the Middle East Team in the 2024 Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association (OGBCA) All-State Games on Saturday at Mustang High School.
The Middle East lost, 66-65, to the Middle West.
Medicine Bird scored eight points in the game, while Wight had to sit out the game due to recovering from injury.
Both ladies will play college basketball next season, Medicine Bird at the University of Central Oklahoma, while Wight will play at the University of the Ozarks.
Medicine Bird’s high school coach was Scott Nelke, and Wight’s high school coach was Jana Armer.
